Tips, tricks, and ideas to reference for a simpler, stress-free life
Is your home peaceful?
Decluttering is transformative! It's like magic fairy dust. When you get rid of the things that get in the way of your daily life and cause stress, you feel lighter and calmer.
“I might need this someday”
“I might need this someday.” This is a common remark I hear from clients and my job is to help them figure out what they want and need in their life and let go of those items that no longer serve them.
The neverending to-do list
As a small business owner, I wear many hats (bookkeeper, writer, editor, marketer, presenter, networker, volunteer, web designer, and, MOST importantly, professional organizer). Plus, I, like most people, have a plethora of items that need to get done at home. The result of this is a seemingly never-ending list of items that need to be completed. But to-do lists are a way of life for most, if not all, of us.
Awareness is half the battle
One of my clients had accumulated the equivalent of two closets full of clothing and squeezed them into her single closet. As we worked together, she managed to let go of about half of her blouses she didn't like or hadn't worn in years and freed up space in her closet.
Kick clutter to the curb
My job as a professional organizer isn’t just about putting things in bins and containers and then slapping a label on each. When a client initially contacts me, they are overwhelmed with their stuff, they are stressed out, and they are incredibly frustrated.
How do you feel?
When you get home after a long day at work, how do you feel when you walk in the door? Are you relieved/happy/excited to be home? Or does your home stress you out even more?
