Love sweet love
Hello, beautiful friends. I hope you and your loved ones are healthy, safe and well.
At the beginning of January, I shared that 2020 would be my Year to Be Present/Year of Presence, which was inspired by a sign on a church down the street encouraging us to BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world." I wrote about my intentions to be the good, see the good and do good.
Less than five months later, here we are in the middle of a global crisis. Many people are suffering right now. They're struggling to figure out how to feed their family, home-school their children, keep themselves safe and healthy, pay for medications, and pay their mortgage or rent. A lot of people need help.
Now, more than ever before, we need to BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world.
Which is why I ask that you please check out Pandemic of Love, a global movement connecting people who need help with those who can help with that need. From their site:
"The #pandemicoflove is a mutual aid community of care movement started in response to the COVID-19 epidemic. It humbly began on March 14th, 2020 by one person and was intended to help her own local community. But, like an epidemic, the act of love and kindness spread quickly and is now a beautiful movement helping those in need throughout the world.
What is a mutual aid community? It connects people in need with patrons who can help with that need. This is a tangible way for people to give to each other, quickly, discretely and directly.
What’s the catch? There is none. Kind people are introduced to kind people which results in an act of kindness and human connection."
Please help if you are able. Please reach out if you need help. Together, we can be the good, see the good, and do good.
Now, more than ever, "What the world needs now is love, sweet love."
