Two simple ways to bring peace

Hello, sweet friends. How are you holding up? As we navigate an ever-changing new normal, I continue doing my best to be the good, see the good and do good.

Uncertainty about the future has definitely forced me to be even more aware of being present (and 2020 happens to be my Year of Presence, so that's helpful) and not focus on that which is out of my control, but it's a daily challenge and some days are better than others.

When I feel overwhelmed or anxious, I have a couple of tools in my toolkit that I reach for first - gratitude and my breath:

  • Spending just a couple of minutes focusing on giving thanks for all of the goodness in my life helps to shift my perspective.

  • Paying attention to my breath is such a simple act, yet it's so effective in calming the nervous system AND it's always available to me.

And so, dear ones, I hope your toolkit is full of strategies you can implement when worry creeps in. Please take good care of yourself and others.

Sending y’all love and peace.

P.S. Lots of people need support right now, so if you are able to give OR if you need help, please go to Pandemic of Love.
