Finding focus in 2022
I don't know about you, but I've been feeling quite scattered lately.
As 2021 comes to a close and we cautiously enter the third year of a global pandemic (which has tested our resolve and patience beyond limits we ever imagined), I've found my ability to focus has waned. My mind darts from idea to idea and task to task, yet I don't finish much of anything. Rather than working through my to-do list, I continue to add tasks, feeling more scattered and overwhelmed with each addition.
Part of my New Year ritual includes choosing an intention/word to guide me throughout the year and a benchmark by which to move through each day. Previous intentions have included Balance, Confidence, Clarity, Courage, and Presence. This year I've chosen Focus.
Choosing Focus as my intention will help me to...well, to focus. By concentrating my attention and effort, I'll be better equipped to take care of items on my to-do list and carve out time for self-care as well.
If you'd like to adjust your focus, start the year off right by signing up for Live Light in Your Home, my online decluttering class that starts Monday, January 3. Feel lighter as you learn how to pare down and organize areas of your home that tend to get ignored. The class is fun, motivating, and insightful, and I'd love for you to join us.
Here's to a New Year full of focus and possibility, my friends.
