Feeling the pull to reset?
As we step into a new year, many of us feel the pull to reset - to clear space, simplify routines, and start fresh. Getting organized isn’t about perfection or doing everything at once. It’s about creating a home that supports how you want to live now.
The new year is a great time to look at what’s working in your space and what isn’t. Are there areas that feel stressful, cluttered, or hard to manage? Small changes (one drawer, one closet, one system at a time) can make a big difference in how your home feels day to day.
Organizing is really about making room for what matters most. When your space feels lighter and more intentional, it often brings more calm, clarity, and ease into everyday life.
If you’ve been thinking about getting organized this year, consider this your sign to start - slowly, thoughtfully, and without pressure.
Separately, I'd like to share a personal and exciting life update with you.
My wife, Rhys, and I are officially launching a new consulting service called UpRoot with Ease, focused on helping people plan and prepare for life abroad. This new venture is a natural extension of the work Rhys has been doing with real estate and I’ve been doing through Live With Less. Downsizing, organizing, deciding what to keep, what to let go of, and how to simplify before a major life transition are at the heart of both businesses. Moving abroad simply takes those decisions to a deeper level.
Professional organizing remains a core part of my work, and I will continue to support clients who want calmer, more intentional homes. UpRoot with Ease allows me to help people who are facing big-picture changes (relocations, sabbaticals, and international moves) and need guidance from people who’ve been there.
Thank you for being part of this community and for trusting me during meaningful moments of change. I’m so grateful to continue this journey with you, both at home and beyond.
Wishing you a peaceful, organized start to the new year.
